About Us

A group of four people in costume, seated on a wicker bench in front of a wooden backdrop. The first person, a young boy, wears a yellow construction helmet and plaid shirt. The second person, a man, is dressed as a sheep with a white fluffy outfit and sheep ears. The third person, a woman, wears sunglasses and a military-inspired jumpsuit. The fourth person, a young child, is in a blue and gray dragon costume with a hood that has horns and a face. In the foreground, there is a decorative scarecrow and a bouquet of flowers.

Sandy and Blaine have spent their lives in the forest of the Pacific Northwest. They possess a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of arboriculture, which has been shaped by their lifelong passion for trees.

Blaine's expertise as a sawyer and tree climber was honed during his 12-year tenure as a professional wildland firefighter. He was responsible for assessing the health of trees before allowing crews to enter fire areas and has felled thousands of trees during his career.

Sandy holds a degree in biology from the University of Portland and a Masters degree in Resource Management from Oregon State University. She has worked professionally as a biologist for the Chelan County Conservation District and studied sockeye salmon in Idaho. Currently, she is a certified forester for Forest Carbon Works and also holds a license as an arborist.

Together, Sandy and Blaine bring a unique combination of skills and expertise to the field of arboriculture.
